Back in July, a puppy was found tied up in a plastic trash bag in Transylvania, Romania.
When they opened it, they saw her leg was broken and maggots started eating her flesh. The puppy was also starved, dehydrated and had a serious head injury.
“It is believed that the pup was severely beaten to end her life,” Helen Taylor told Bored Panda.
The dog was taken to Transylvania Animal Care, where she received emergency medical care.
First, doctors dealt with the swelling in her brain, then they removed the dog-eating maggots. They named the dog “Anora,” which means “light,” in honor of her will to live.
Eventually, she was taken to England and adopted by Helen Taylor’s loving family. Anora recently had leg surgery and she is recovering well.
She went from a puppy who couldn’t walk and was dying to a canine who is healthier, has loving owners, and will soon be able to enjoy running around.
